The delay in the NSW government's regulation of Airbnb is causing troubles for hosts of the
home-sharing service, who also face backlash from neighbours, strata bodies and local councils in the
absence of clear rules.
Sydney northern beaches resident Julie Leal has been using Airbnb to host guests in a spare room in
her townhouse in Freshwater, usually about twice a month, but had to stop after her neighbours
complained to the local council and started taking photographs of the guests.
